Fundamentals of
Disc Golf

Out of Bounds (OB) - If a disc comes to rest fully outside the course boundaries, marked by white stakes or lines, the player must take a 1 stroke penalty and play from the previous lie. Knowing OB lines is crucial for minimizing penalties.

Mandatories - (Mandies) Certain obstacles like trees or chains must be passed by the disc in a specific way on particular holes. Passing to the incorrect side results in a penalty stroke. Mandatories test accuracy and course knowledge.

Putting - ( Slingin' plastic, Chuckin' chain, Hittin' metal) All putts must be made with the disc released from a stationary stance. You cannot take steps while putting or approach the basket for easy tap ins - this results in a penalty. Following proper putting form is important.
